Kadupul Hospitality is a new startup company in the Bryan/ College Station area.  Chadley Hollas is the founder of the business and it was started in 2014.  ​Kadupul Hospitality aims to inspire communities and empower intimate organizations through strategic business processes.  A rare and elusive flower found deep in the Earth’s tropical regions, the Kadupul, inspires their philosophy.  This flower only blooms once a year and when the flower does bloom, it only lives for a few hours before it begins to die.  It is the flower that cannot be bought.  Just like the flower, Kadupul Hospitality believes that genuine hospitality cannot be bought.  This company believes in the strength of unique customer service.  Genuine hospitality is what drives this organization.  Kadupul Hospitality specializes in planning, developing, and managing special events, unique inns and lodges, and unforgettable experiences. 

Intern Responsibilities
For this internship, I am serving as an Event Coordinator.  The Event Coordinator will work under the supervision of our lead consultant in the planning and implementation of clients’ events in early 2016. This position will allow the candidate to be immersed into all aspects of event management including but not limited to planning, operations, and post-event evaluation. Our clients operate both in non-profit and for-profit environments.  This position is a remote-based, short-term internship spanning January – May 2016. All meetings will take place in Bryan, Texas.  This position is objective-based and are as follows: 
  • Volunteer recruitment and coordination 

  • Sponsor recruitment 

  • Program development 

  • Development of a volunteer incentive program 

  • Continued development of volunteer communication strategy 

  • Design and Implementation of event marketing strategy
Interns will be expected to have good communication skills, organizational skills, good time management, and willingness to collaborate with others.  This internship is unpaid but is rewarding.  I have learned a lot of valuable things for planning events.  I also have had networking opportunities with vendors and clients in the College Station area.
